Howdy y’all,

I launched this website a year ago because my freelance writing career was taking off and I had a nurturing, loving girlfriend who understood web design.

What a difference a year makes.

I now have a much better day job, but my main writing gig, writing fast food reviews for The L.A. Times, is no more. I haven't written anything in months, and my main excuse is that playing poker is more fun. (See my Casino Crawl story on the Writing Samples page.)

And I'm single again. While I look forward to dating, for its comedy potential more than anything, I'm less than eager to learn all this web stuff.

I do, however, have ideas for this site. Fresh content. New pictures. With a little time, poker permitting, I'll be up to speed. Until then, please enjoy the writings already posted.
